I lay on the floor of my bathroom the yellow lights casting distinctive dark brown shadows on my skin. It all feels so comfortable, just sitting there on the cold laminate floor. I feel as though I am floating as I close my eyes slowly drifting into a dark sub conciseness. I can hear the muffled pellets of rain fall on the skylight above me, the calming sound bringing me further and further into my head.
I wake up hours later. He's home. Not what I wanted to wake up to but I get up and open the door.
